CTIRS Celebrates Successful Completion of Hospitality Student Management Trainee Program 2026
The Centre of Tourism and Integrated Resort Studies (CTIRS) under the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) celebrated the successful completion of the Hospitality Student Management Trainee Program 2026 with a graduation ceremony held on 29th April 2026. The program aims to strengthen students’ industry readiness by bridging academic learning with applied professional practice in hospitality and integrated resort management.
Designed as an immersive learning experience, the program comprises approximately 60 hours of structured training alongside 50 hours of experiential practicum conducted at the CTIRS Macao Sustainable Tourism Development Workshop (formerly known as the Integrated Resort Career Simulation Program), together with related activities. This integrated learning model supplements the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) curriculum, providing students with a solid foundation for future internships and careers in hospitality management.
At the ceremony, Prof. Amy So, Assistant Dean (Business Engagement and Alumni Affairs) of the FBA and Director of CTIRS, congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of practical training in preparing students for successful careers. Certificates were awarded to the program graduates in recognition of their commitment and achievements. The event also recognized Jacky Lio, Kitty Lam and Charlotte Cui with Best Student Leader Awards for their outstanding contributions and efforts throughout the program. The graduation ceremony was attended by faculty members from the Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, including Prof. Li Miao, Head of Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, and Assistant Professor Prof. Soey Lei, whose presence underscored the Faculty’s strong support for applied and industry‑engaged education.
Established in 2018, CTIRS plays a vital role in supporting the Macao SAR Government’s vision to establish Macao as a world-class tourism and leisure centre within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). With support from the Central Government of China, CTIRS continues to broaden its initiatives to meet evolving industry needs while strengthening collaboration with regional and international higher education partners.
